To our knowledge, a standard for Turkesterone did not exist. There was no way for anyone to confirm that they did indeed have Turkesterone, let alone a high enough yield. Ajuga also grows primarily in Uzbekistan, and it's exportation is highly guarded by the government. Sure, there were other sources from which to extract Turkesterone, but they were incredibly expensive for the poor yield achieved, and Ajuga is the only turkesterone-containing plant shown to be anabolic in studies. Not using Ajuga was not an option at ThermoLife.

Luckily, in collaboration with scientists at Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances (ICBS), ThermoLife was granted exclusive permission to export Ajuga turkestanica. That was the first LARGE obstacle out of the way. But still, no standard existed, and if we were to provide users with a powerful dose of Turkesterone, we would need to pay for and develop what is to our knowledge the only known reference standard to date. Thankfully, scientists at the ICBS provided us with small amounts of Turkesterone to develop that standard, a cost to our R&D budget that has exceeded even some biotechnology companies.

After years of extensive research, Turkesabol™, our trademarked name of HPLC-tested Ajuga turkestanica extract, was developed. And, not only is Turkesabol standardized for its Turkesterone content, it also supplies the phytoecdysteroids ecdysterone, cyasterone and ajugasterone for their numerous physique enhancing benefits. EcdyPure™ 110mg

Adding to Turkesabol's adaptogenic-anabolic potential is EcdyPure™, ThermoLife's Rhaponticum carthamoides extract. It is standardized to contain 95% ecdysterone. Like Ajuga turkestanica, scientific studies show that Rhaponticum is anabolic. Thus we included a raw plant extract over a synthetic because there are many compounds in Rhaponticum (other phytoecdysteroids, methoxyflavones) that may provide incredible physique and performance enhancing benefits.

But we faced yet another colossal challenge, as with turkesterone, in sourcing ecdysterone standardized at a true 95%. A 95% ecdysterone was offered by many vendors in the form of Cyanotis vaga. However, the only legitimate way to measure ecdysterone content is to use High-Performance Liquid Chromotography (HPLC) analysis. Unfortunately, many suppliers were relying on Ultra-Violate (UV) testing, a method that would result in an erroneous 95% purity when HPLC would reveal it's true purity at a low 40%. To ensure that E-Bol users were receiving a true 95% ecdysterone from Rhaponticum, ThermoLife has every batch verified by third-party laboratory testing using HPLC.

We then turned our attention to Korean Red Ginseng, knowing that it possessed powerful anabolic and adaptogenic properties. But in the long history of Ginseng studies, some subjects experienced great results while others experienced nothing at all. Investigating the inconclusive results in the scientific literature, we believed this was due to the lack of proper standardization. Specifically, a lack of proper standardization for ginsenoside Rd, a triterpene glycoside which is considered to be the most anabolic ginsenoside studied to date.

Using HPLC once again to test five different Ginseng samples, we discovered that some samples contained less than 1% ginsenoside Rd while one was only 0.01%. So that E-Bol users could harness the powerful energy boosting, anabolic, and adaptogenic effects of Korean Red Ginseng EVERY time, we developed and standardized our own Korean Red Ginseng extract known as Ginsentabol™.
